This year's conference was so popular, we could not allocate places to all those who wanted to book. Once again held at the Ramada Hotel in Norwich, it was a successful event, offering over 100 childminders and childcare practitioners the chance to gain new knowledge, meet up with colleagues and share good practice.

The keynote speaker, Elizabeth Jarman who researched and developed Communication Friendly Spaces™, delivered an interesting presentation on how we can all improve our settings to encourage children to relax, communicate and learn from each other and their carers.

There were plenty of stalls with books and early years resources for the attendees to browse during the breaks and lunch.

Delegates' evaluations of the day showed that the conference had been very well received and they are looking forward to next year
